Official WHO HIV, Hepatitis and STIs document (2026) on “WHO consolidated guidelines on tuberculosis: module 4: treatment and care, 2nd edition”. This second edition consolidates recommendations on TB management in children and adolescents and incorporates new and updated recommendations for drug-resistant TB treatment, including shorter treatment regimens for pre-extensively drug-resistant TB according to disease severity and a new recommendation on palliative care for people with multidrug- or rifampicin-resistant TB.
