Official American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons document (2024) on “Clinical Practice Guideline for the Management of Acute Isolated Meniscal Pathology”. The scope of this guideline includes the diagnosis and management of patients with isolated acute meniscal injury. It does not provide guidelines for chronic or degenerative meniscus tears, re-tears, meniscal root tears or meniscal injuries that occur with concomitant knee injuries such as ACL tears, intra-articular fractures or chondral/osteochondral pathology.
