R-Evo Smart E is a compact BVI Medical / Optikon console for phacoemulsification and documented anterior-segment functions. This variant is distinguished by its single peristaltic pump configuration. The touch interface and programmable foot control bring together operating settings. Manufacturer technical sheet 111009 distinguishes fluidics, ultrasound, anterior vitrectomy and installation requirements. Accessories, consumables and trolley must be specified in the ASEM quotation.
R-Evo Smart E uses a peristaltic pump without a Venturi pump. Flow adjusts from 1 to 65 ml/min and available vacuum ranges from 5 to 650 mmHg. Vacuum rise is adjustable over 25 levels. Aspiration combines fixed or linear flow and vacuum, with feedback from the vacuum sensor in the aspiration line.
The piezoelectric handpiece operates at approximately 40 kHz. Tip stroke adjusts in 5 µm steps up to 100 µm. Documented modes include continuous, pulsed and burst delivery, with fixed or linear foot control. Minimal Stress refers to BVI’s described ultrasound-energy control; the manufacturer illustration explains its principle and does not promise an individual clinical outcome.
The E sheet documents anterior vitrectomy at 60–1000 cuts/min with the standard cutter, or 120–2000 cuts/min with Twedge technology. Pneumatic drive uses the integrated dry-air compressor. These are E-specific values: the S model’s 10000 cuts/min and the CR model’s posterior-segment functions are not transferred.
The series interface uses a 15-inch touch screen and a programmable single- or dual-linear foot control. Bipolar diathermy is documented at 2 MHz, with 9 W nominal power into a 200-ohm load. Function settings and compatible accessories depend on the professional and ordered configuration; the series list does not mean that all consumables are included.
Console alone: width 43 cm, depth 50 cm, height 35 cm; approximate weight 17 kg. With trolley and foot control: 57 × 74 × 152 cm and approximately 60 kg. These configurations must not be combined. Power supply: 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, 200 VA. Connections, installation, consumables and optional trolley must be confirmed with ASEM. The manufacturer declares the mechanical values approximate.
