Understanding this equipment family

This selection distinguishes optotype projection from visual-test display systems. When organising a refraction station, identify the presentation method, screen variant and documented tests; the complete system may include components separate from the receiver alone.

Questions to clarify before choosing

  • Does the project require projection or a display system, according to the reference documents?
  • Which tests and polarised or non-polarised variant are specifically documented?
  • Which monitor, computer, supports and current requirements must be confirmed?

Configuration and documentary limits

N and PF variants are not interchangeable. An old brochure does not prove current computer compatibility; dimensions, weight and operating distance must match the exact configuration.

Documented differences between models

HCP-7000 documents projection of 41 optotypes and 34 masks. HDC-9100 is recorded as an optotype display with N/PF variants; HDC-7000 documentation includes binocular vision tests. These descriptions do not make the systems or their requirements interchangeable.

The functions below are attached to a specific model and source. A function absent from this record is not declared unavailable: it remains unconfirmed here. Options and qualifications in the product records retain their meaning.

  • N non-polarised / PF polarised: polarisation is not assumed for the ASEM model.
  • Not documented for the exact configuration; no value inferred.
  • Value 15 m in the Korean extraction, 1.5 m in other instructions: do not correct an anomaly without instructions for the ASEM configuration.

Huvitz HDC-7000 — système de tests visuels

HDC-7000 is a Huvitz visual chart system with chart software, remote control and receiver. The current manufacturer page describes 41 charts and support for different monitor sizes. Examination distance and optotype size are calibrated to the actual configuration. Monitor and computer requirements must be specified with ASEM; no fixed-size screen or computer shown in the photographs is advertised as included.

Documented functions and limitations

  • Visual testing
  • Binocular balance
  • Stereopsis
  • Fixation disparity
  • Fusion
Catalogue qualifications
  • Monitor support to be defined in the configuration.
  • Weight of the screen/PC configuration not specified; do not use the receiver’s weight.
  • Dimensions of the complete configuration depend on the monitor and PC.
  • The manufacturer’s page reviewed takes priority. The historical 2008 brochure states old Windows requirements and a different receiver weight; it is not used to promise current compatibility.
