Auto-réfkeratomètre HRK-1
Huvitz
The Huvitz HRK-1 combines refractometry and keratometry for objective refraction and corneal curvature measurements. Smart Assembly Moving Control adjusts the optical assembly to the patient’s refraction. Aiming Dot assists alignment, while Color View supports observation and contact lens fitting. Results can be viewed on the colour touch display and printed using the built-in thermal printer.
Aligning the measurement with Aiming Dot
The virtual Aiming Dot guides the operator towards the visual apex for alignment. Automatic vertical tracking follows eye movement over ±15 mm; forward and backward movement is controlled with the joystick. K/R mode combines continuous keratometry and refractometry. Separate REF and KER modes are also available.

Objective refraction and corneal curvatures
At a 12 mm vertex distance, the spherical range is −30 to +25 D and cylinder extends to ±12 D. The documented minimum pupil diameter is 2 mm. Keratometry covers curvature radii of 5 to 13 mm. The stated corneal power range of 25.96 to 67.50 D uses a keratometric index of 1.3375. These ranges and the index must be retained when interpreting results.
Color View for contact lens fitting
A colour camera with white and blue LEDs supports Color View observation. The brochure describes fitting assistance using fluorescein and a yellow filter, and base-curve calculation from KERATO data for rigid gas-permeable lenses only. Iris and pupil diameter measurement ranges from 2 to 14 mm. These functions support the professional’s examination and do not replace clinical judgement.

Viewing and printing results
The resistive colour touch screen measures 7 inches. The built-in thermal printer provides printed results, and the device stores ten measurements per eye. RS-232C is documented. The brochure describes an optional Y-cable connection to the HLM-1 lensmeter to print its results; that cable and the HLM-1 are not included in this device listing.
Documented installation and configuration
Manufacturer dimensions: 261 mm width × 513 mm depth × 433 mm height. Weight: 16 kg. Power supply: 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz. Accessories, integration with other devices and installation requirements must be confirmed with ASEM for the proposed configuration. No additional software compatibility is inferred solely from the product family name.
